Take your Rock Climbing to new heights with Rannveig Aamodt.

Join Rannveig for a week of climbing enjoyment to its fullest in her own little paradise, the Greek island of Kalymnos. This is an outdoor climbing retreat for people who want to take their climbing to the next level.

Rannveig will share her experience and expertise to help you overcome whatever you feel like you need to overcome to improve your climbing. For some, it might be getting comfortable on the rock when making

the shift from indoor to outdoor climbing. For others, it might be to overcome the fear of falling. Or maybe it is just the desire to improve your technique and become a stronger climber.

Rannveig will share her tips and tricks on how to best use your strengths and improve your weaknesses so that you can get over whatever hurdle is keeping you from growing as a climber. Together with Rannveig you will be able to create a fun and safe atmosphere to build confidence on the rock.

This retreat includes five climbing sessions and one rest day to enjoy and explore the island. Rannveig will be available throughout the retreat and open for discussions on whatever topics you are interested and bring to the table. During your time in Kalymnos, there will also be optional activities such as yoga, massage therapy, diving with dolphins, and more (cost not included in tuition).

Level of experience required: able to climb 5.10 and be comfortable belaying others.

Rannveig Aamodt

Rannveig Aamodt is a rock climber, author, photographer, and speaker who splits her time between Norway and Colorado. She coaches a youth climbing team in Norway and is a certified yoga instructor. She spent many years in school studying alternative veterinary medicine.

In 2006, Rannveig spent most of the winter on cross-country skis, walking from the southern-most point to the norther-most point of Norway. The trip was 3,900 km, took 4 months, and was entirely self-supported. Raanveig hopes to cross Greenland the same way one day.

In April 2012, Rannveig broke her back, both her ankles, her pelvis, and her elbow in a 15m ground fall in Turkey. You can read about it here. She was in a wheelchair for two months and had to re-learn how to walk, but through rigorous training and a lot of determination, Rannveig returned to the best shape of her life. She loves climbing and what it has given her, despite it almost killing her. Rannveig’s immediate goals are to keep improving, keep traveling, and continue to have more fun than anybody else at the crag!
