Life has a tendency to pick up speed and seemingly fly by. One day morphing into the next, our bodies and minds continually set on fast forward. When life speeds up in this way it can make us feel stressed and overwhelmed. We feel the desire to slow down, but don’t always know how to make it happen. This retreat is intended to help us with that; a chance to slow down, rekindle a love for right now, and bring our health back in balance.  A getaway to explore somewhere new and remind us that being in the moment is medicine for body, mind, and soul.

This retreat is set alongside a certified organic biodynamic farm, surrounded by endless primary rainforest.  We will nourish our bodies with fresh organic produce and daily yoga/meditation; all set to the sounds and sights of nature.  Optional daily hikes, moments of rest, swimming in the pool, and endless opportunities to enjoy each other’s company.

Taylor’s goal for “This Moment is Medicine” is to give you a week to indulge in yourself, and time to realize that you are enough; exactly as you are right now.  She hopes to help you appreciate your incredible body, realize and enjoy the power of stillness with meditation, and soak up the benefits of living and breathing in nature.  Every moment has the ability to be potent medicine for the soul, and all we need to do is be there.

Taylor Johnson

Taylor, like many students, started going to yoga for the fitness, but quickly kept coming again and again for the feeling and space it created in her mind.  She didn’t fully understand what it was at the time; she just knew that it felt really good.  After many years of practice, she is coming to realize more and more that yoga is all about connection.  Connection to the breath, connection to mobility and health of the body, connection to the mind and thoughts, connection to the beautiful present moment, connection to community, and a deeper sense of connection to the soul and the true essence of being.

Taylor believes that yoga is for everyone, regardless of age or experience.  With her warm, energetic, and playful personality, she aims to get your body moving and more connected with your mind.

“Taylor’s classes are a sublime experience for the body, mind and soul. They are a wonderful mix of creative sequencing, intelligent, accessible cues and beautiful themes. Taylor has a knack for making students feel welcome and comfortable. I always leave her classes feeling strong and nourished, my body singing, my mind relaxed. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced yoga student, I can’t recommend Taylor’s classes enough!!” ~Ariella M.

“Yoga to me is connection and as soon as I met Taylor I felt it straight away. Taylor ‘s ability to stay authentic and honest shines through everything she touches. Yoga has become so much about asana and Taylor brings so much connection and care into her classes. The journey with her continues even if you are just hanging out with a smoothie and she asks and challenges all the right ways. Joy and passion… two words I would describe my Canadian sister.” ~Masha G.
