Take a pause from your daily routine and step into the lush landscape of the Costa Rican jungle for an adventure designed to nourish and energize.  This week-long retreat will highlight the qualities of yin and yang in all that we do to bring balance to our bodies and minds.  Mornings will begin with dynamic yang yoga to complement the hiking, and evenings will be dedicated to yin yoga and meditation.  There will be plenty of time for self-study and quiet reflection in the beautiful surroundings.

Terry Cockburn has been teaching yoga since 2006, and opened the doors of Freeport Yoga Company in Freeport, Maine in December of 2011. A marathon runner, mother to two boys (and one yellow dog), business owner, and outdoor adventure-seeker, she balances an active, yang lifestyle with time on the meditation cushion and a contemplative yin practice.  Terry’s yang (vinyasa) classes are strong, creative, and inspired by Iyengar principles, with an emphasis on functional alignment, while her yin classes are physically complementary, and heavily influenced by insight meditation and Buddhist teachings.
