What are you ready to break through? How has your life been limited to repetitive patterns that disrupt and prevent the new creations from happening easily?
Join Alandra and Ariel and an amazing group of women for a transformational week in the Sacred Valley of Peru. Treat yourself to this once-in-a-lifetime experience!!! Come and be challenged, break free, have fun, laugh, dance, learn, and grow!
The Andean mountains contain some of the world’s purest energy. In the high mountains, there is less mental activity and more availability to break through the limitations of your conditioning and story. The energy works as a catalyst to assist in whatever transformation life is provoking in you. This may be in your physical life, health, career, relationships, success, and lifestyle. Or an inner challenge that is demanding you to break through old patterns and beliefs that limit your fulfillment, happiness, and self-acceptance.
Alandra will be guiding us to access deeper connections with our hearts, body, breath and presence. Helping us to take back the power we have given to the past, becoming more grounded and centred with what is, and breaking through whatever blocks or beliefs that challenge us and keep us from living our greatest possibility and potential. We also offer an optional plant medicine ceremony with an amazing female shaman (not included in retreat tuition). Last year this experience offered deeper healing to many of the participants. Authentic local ceremonies will be offered to prepare us to enter the transformational energies of the mountains, plants and ancient ways.
Ariel Swan joins Alandra to teach daily yoga/pilates classes to keep us strong and centered in our bodies as well as some evening Yin Yoga to promote relaxation and calming of the mind. She brings a huge amount of energy, sensitivity, fun, and innate wisdom to support the process and keep us challenged (and laughing) in our yoga practice.
We will be staying in a gorgeous eco Retreat Centre in the Sacred Valley, which features beautiful accommodations, gardens, fresh, healthy gourmet food, and one of the best yoga shalas we have ever come across!
We will also be offering a karma yoga 1/2 day volunteer service project that will help the local communities. Last year we painted a small school and sang, laughed, and shared food with the young students and teachers. It was one of our favourite memories, in giving back we received so much!
After the week is over, there is an extended 5 day/ 4 night trek for those that wish to hike into Machu Picchu. Invite the man in your life to join you on the Inca Trail Hike, open to friends, family, and loved ones who want to visit Machu Picchu with you. It follows the spectacular Salkantay Trail, one of the most breath-taking trails in the world. Surrounded by magnificent snow-capped mountains and ancient Incan ruins, this not-to-be-missed trip has a limited amount of spaces; so book early to hold your place!!! There is also a 2 day/ 2 night trip to Machu Picchu for those that do not wish to do the hike but want to see Machu Picchu. See details on the “Machu Picchu” tab.

The retreat center’s name translates as “love from the ancient forest.” It is nestled in an oasis of native plants and fruit trees, nourished by a magnificent waterfall in the Sacred Valley of Peru. This lovely spot is in the Andes Mountains and home of the twelve mountains known as Apus—“luminous beings.” Those who come to the center have the opportunity to commune directly with these mountains, as well as with the local curanderos and pacos (healers), who engage with us for ritual and Despacho ceremony.
The guests at this center enjoy delicious meals with locally-grown and lovingly-prepared ingredients. Each guest room is a reflection of the Peruvian culture of the Sacred Valley. The entire center embodies kindness, love, and wholeness that seem to permeate the magical place.

Ariel has been teaching for over 15 yrs. She started as a dancer and dance teacher and found pilates and yoga through a back injury. She fell in love and has been practicing and teaching ever since. She hopes she can inspire her students to enjoy their bodies, build strength and length and find a deeper understanding of themselves while doing it. Ariel is inspired by her background in dance, her teacher Master Dhyan Vimal, and believes that it doesn’t matter what your posture looks like on the outside but rather how it feels on the inside. She loves music, doesn’t want anyone to take themselves too seriously and hopes each student leaves her class with a bit more understanding, sense of peace, and the ability to take what is practiced on the mat out into their lives. She is from Vancouver Canada and has given retreats in Bali, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Peru and the USA. Last years trip to the sacred valley in Peru was a highlight of her life. She fell in love with the country, it’s people, and their ancient culture. Ariel is excited to be returning to Peru to teach and participate in another amazing adventure and share it with the world!
Testimonials from the Entering the Sacred Peru 2017 Women’s Retreat
“I still feel completely blissed out weeks after returning back home from magical Peru! The transformation I went through with Alandra’s loving guidance truly feels profound and grounded. I feel inspired, empowered and “updated”! Alandra truly is capable to trust in the more when guiding individuals and groups which in turn made me feel safe to just surrender to the process and open up to the more too. Alandra holds the space beautifully – she knows when to lovingly challenge you and when to just give you that well-needed hug. Ariel is a blessing and a goddess, sharing her yoga in such a loving, compassionate and fun way. She truly helped us to ground and to take care of our bodies. The week and hike was amazing and I’m so incredibly thankful to have shared it with my new found sisters. I feel stronger and lighter, I have new abs from all the laughs we shared, and a grateful and open heart who is rested in the more.” Sophia Piehl, Sweden
“I was very excited to go on this adventure even though I wasn’t sure what I was signing up for. Peru was beautiful, the people were kind, the food was amazing and the journey itself was magical. Alandra and Ariel created a fun and meaningful adventure for us. The retreat we stayed at exceeded my expectations, it was clean, beautiful, peaceful and comfortable. The ceremonies, hikes, classes they created for us were powerful, meaningful and filled with love and joy. I was able to get answers I had been looking for my entire life and inner peace in many areas of my life. My life as I knew it before completely changed out of being part of this journey. I built strong, powerful, loving relationships that have guided me through a lot already and I know will continue to guide me for a long time. I am very grateful for Alandra and Ariel’s commitment to building such special retreats for people to find whatever they are looking for. A must do.” Daniela Abedrabbo, Counselor, Canada
“I shared 12 days in Peru with Alandra and Ariel in 2017. During this time I opened up to my true possibilities. I saw what I had been unable to see previously. I laughed and I cried to my own delight. Being in this sacred place with Alandra and Ariel as our guides was magical. I felt safe and held. The energy and beauty were beyond description. The experiences were mystical and breathtaking. I will always remember this enchanted trip as a turning point in my life. It was an opportunity to go deeply within and overflow with gratitude. I would recommend it to anyone who is ready to encounter their own possibilities.” Debra Botticello, NYC, USA
“Regardless of your age, nationality, previous experiences or previous lives…you will feel welcomed, supported and loved at Alandra’s and Ariel’s Peru retreat. What a truly amazing week it was…systematically discovering parts of my life that had been shuttered for years and now so integral to my happiness and ability to embody the “more” of me and others. The Peru adventure is just that…a week (or more) where it is best to arrive with no expectations and drink in “the daily”… whatever it happens to be! I loved every aspect of it…especially the magical guidance of both Alandra and Ariel!” Wendy Hultsman, Professor, Phoenix, AZ, USA
“My trip to Peru with Alandra and Ariel was very magical. This has been a life-changing experience and continues. This is highly recommended.” Joyce Mah, Vancouver, Canada
“I have been fortunate to be able attend retreats with Alandra for ten years. Each one is different, but I have found that Alandra always does a masterful job of creating the environment for ever-deeper self-discovery. Peru was a magical experience. I had an opportunity to push into many new areas through this retreat. The addition of Ariel for yoga and Pilates was the perfect compliment. Ariel is extremely knowledgeable about the body and brought a unique sensitivity to the practice, which changed everyday to match the unfolding of the retreat. Since my return, I have been able to integrate many lessons discovered in the mountains of Peru. I find myself responding in new ways to old problems or issues. I highly recommend this retreat to anyone looking for experiences of beauty, transformation, adventure and fun! Thank you for everything. I am truly grateful for this experience ” Anneliese, Toledo, Ohio
“A wonderful experience to open up and let go!!” Laurie Sluchinski, Entrepreneur, Vancouver, Canada
Pilgrimage to Apu Salkantay and Machu Picchu – October 26-30, 2019 (5 Day/4 Night)
Walk along the sacred paths of our ancestors, through the small Andean forests on the verge of extinction, until the Umantay Lake where the Condors bathe. We will pass the sacred snow peak of Apu Salkantay, guardian of Machupicchu, as we make our way to the edges of the Andean cloud forest and into the heart of Machupicchu. Our pilgrimage trip to the sacred city of Machupicchu is five days long; during this time we will come to understand the knowledge and wisdom to be found by retracing the steps of our ancestors.
Departing from the retreat center, you will drive a few hours through the Sacred Valley to reach your first campsite; Soraypamapa. From there, we will trek to Umantay Lake for an opening ceremony led by an Andean healer in which we will honor the Apus (mountain spirits) and make our offering to the sacred mountains.
On the second day, we start by climbing to the pass of Salkantay. We reach the highest point of our trip (4600m above sea level) and offer a coca leaf K’intu to the Apus. We then continue the pilgrimage to Huayracmachay where we will enjoy lunch with a stunning view of Apu Salkantay and Umantay. After lunch, the trek continues through the Andean Cloud Forest to Challway where we will camp for the night.
Day three takes us down to the river where we hike for approximately six hours, fueled by the energy of the orchids, native plants, and lush vegetation that abounds in the region. Finally, we will reach Playa Sahuayaco where we will enjoy a delicious lunch before boarding buses to the hot spring baths of Cocalmayo, where we can enjoy a soak and let our muscles rest.
After camping near the hot springs, we come to day four. We will start the morning with a bus ride that takes us to a hydroelectric dam. We will stop here for lunch before continuing our walk along the shores of the Wilkamayu River. This sacred river is known as the Guardian of Machupicchu and will lead us straight into Aguas Calientes, where we will settle for the night.
On day five, we wake up at the crack of dawn to take the bus to the entrance of the sacred city of Machupicchu. We will watch the rise of Tayta Inti (Father Sun) over the sacred ruins and gather for a ceremony of gratitude followed by hours of free time to explore and enjoy this epicenter of sacred energies.
After your time at Machupicchu, you will take the train from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo, then be transferred from Ollantaytambo to Cusco, where your tour will come to an end.
