Ever wonder what it would feel like to completely break from the hustle and take a journey through your internal landscape? To tend to your being and make space for stillness? To slow down and wander on cobblestone paths, through little Greek villages that connect to picturesque secluded beaches and feel the sand beneath your feet? Together, let’s breathe in the fresh seaside air and feel it brush across our skin.
On this Greece yoga retreat, you are invited to sit back, relax and take it easy. Our yoga classes will be gentle and restorative and they’ll ease us into our day. Afternoon beach walks and excursions will include but are not limited to, laughter and spontaneity and the evenings will be reserved for community quietude to read, journal, and watch the setting sun.
It’s time! Take the opportunity to connect back to you.
Every retreat is unique and, as such, the itineraries are ever-changing! We finalize the itineraries about 3-6 weeks before the retreat, but after 10 years of hosting retreats, we do have a general idea of what most schedules look like.
Most retreats include one-to-two daily yoga classes. One class takes place in the morning, either just before or just after breakfast. After the first class and meal, you have free time to explore, relax, or take part in optional add-on activities. Lunch (if included in your retreat) will take place midday, during this free time. There is then, usually, an afternoon class followed by dinner. Occasionally some teachers choose to offer an evening restorative class or group gathering after dinner as well.
In addition, there is usually one dedicated “excursion day” in which we do not have scheduled yoga classes. This is a day for people to take advantage of some of the more involved tour and excursion offerings and is always a lot of fun!
Again, this is a very general look at what your retreat schedule could be. We work closely with the teachers to design unique itineraries that reflect their style and the group that’s traveling with them. Once your specific retreat itinerary is complete, we will send it out via email, usually two or more weeks before the retreat starts. Please keep in mind all retreat itineraries are subject to change.

Amanda is the proud owner of Ruby Yoga, located in North Bay, in Canada. She has been practicing yoga for over 14 years and teaching yoga for 10 of those years. Her yoga journey began when she was suffering from the ups and downs of anxiety and depression. Recognizing the immense benefits of her own yoga practice, Amanda wanted to help others achieve a better quality of life through this path.
Studying with teachers from the Iyengar tradition at The Yoga Studio College of Canada, Amanda completed her year-long certification in June 2008. Upon completing her certification, Amanda had dreams of traveling and furthering her education in Yoga. She relocated to Busan, Korea to teach English for 14 months which gave her the opportunity to then study and live at an ashram in India and trek the Himalayan Mountains in Nepal.
After almost 3 years of being away from home, Amanda returned to Canada to visit friends and family. She stayed to open Ruby Yoga in October 2012. Using her studio as a catalyst to expose the tools and teachings of yoga to others, her intention is to continue to help individuals heal through the path of yoga.
“Amanda did a brilliant job of reading the group for the timing and intensity of our planned activities. Leading us in soul feeding meditations and just the right level of energy for our daily yoga practice. As a teacher, Amanda brings a quiet but powerful confidence to her classes that is born from her dedication to her own practice and years of experience.
I can’t speak highly enough of Amanda’s skills as a teacher, she certainly answered her calling. Amanda shows up first as a caring, loving, beautiful soul, and then guides you with absolute precision through her classes.” ~ John M., Previous Retreat Participant
“Amanda Cooley is an exceptional instructor. Her connection to her students on an intellectual, emotional, and intuitive level is everything you hope to find in a teacher. Her knowledge of the body and natural ability to seamlessly cue you safely in and out of the asanas gives her students the confidence to explore themselves more deeply and playfully during classes. Amanda is the instructor you want guiding your yoga practice!” ~ Kelly, Student
“I have tried yoga several times over many years, but never really “got” it. About 3 years ago I decided to give it another try and Ruby Yoga with Amanda was my choice. Right from the first class, I felt comfortable and eager to continue. In addition to being very warm and welcoming, Amanda shows great concern and respect for our bodies. She pushes us to improve but is always mindful of any areas of our bodies that need special care. Improved balance, strength, and flexibility, as well as laughter and friendship, make me look forward to every class.” ~ Diane, Student
