Blue waters set against crisp white architecture. Wake to the warmth of the sun as you look out over the Aegean sea. Salute the sun and moon from the panoramic rooftop while listening to the sounds of the sea. Enjoy the complimentary spa, jacuzzi, indoor heated pool, and hammam or treat yourself to an award-winning spa service. Connect with nature and open your mind to ancient Greek philosophy with robust and enlightening discussions led by your retreat hostesses. Explore the island with a variety of excursions or take a day trip to nearby islands to discover more of what Greece has to offer.
Every retreat is unique and, as such, the itineraries are ever-changing! We finalize the itineraries about 3-6 weeks before the retreat, but after 10 years of hosting retreats, we do have a general idea of what most schedules look like.
Most retreats include one-to-two daily yoga classes. One class takes place in the morning, either just before or just after breakfast. After the first class and meal, you have free time to explore, relax, or take part in optional add-on activities. Lunch (if included in your retreat) will take place midday, during this free time. There is then, usually, an afternoon class followed by dinner. Occasionally some teachers choose to offer an evening restorative class or group gathering after dinner as well.
In addition, there is usually one dedicated “excursion day” in which we do not have scheduled yoga classes. This is a day for people to take advantage of some of the more involved tour and excursion offerings and is always a lot of fun!
Again, this is a very general look at what your retreat schedule could be. We work closely with the teachers to design unique itineraries that reflect their style and the group that’s traveling with them. Once your specific retreat itinerary is complete, we will send it out via email, usually two or more weeks before the retreat starts. Please keep in mind all retreat itineraries are subject to change.

Michele began her career as an attorney at a large firm in Washington, DC and later continued her practice serving as General Counsel for a government contracting firm in Northern Virginia. Michele was always active, but she became more in touch with the need to become both physically and spiritually strong after the birth of her two children.
Michele began to train for and participate in triathlons as a way to regain control of her physical strength and well being after pregnancy and became particularly fond of pilates reformer. Michele transitioned from her legal practice to the fitness industry in 2013 when she began teaching group fitness classes. Michele is certified or licensed in Zumba, Tabata Bootcamp, Pilates Reformer, Pilates Mat, Barre, Silver and Fit, TRX and general group fitness, and is also a certified personal trainer.
While teaching at a local pilates studio, Michele began to regularly practice yoga, eventually becoming a certified RYT200 practitioner. Noticing both the physical and spiritual benefits of yoga, Michele began to explore energy healing and meditation. Michele went on to become a Master Reiki Healer.
When not on her mat or teaching a group fitness class, you can find Michele on her road bike, running the trails of the local State Forest, or swimming in the lakes near her home. Michele and her husband Peter live in New Jersey with their two children – son Luke and daughter Emersyn and dog Winslow.
“I have been practicing yoga for several years, but it was when I met Michele Rath, owner and instructor, at Powerhouse Fitness and Yoga two years ago that I started seeing the body/mind results I desired. Michele’s classes challenge me with a variety of poses each week and offer modifications or options to take the pose further, which has helped improve my practice immensely. New props, and new uses with the usual props, keep the classes fun and different, and the music is always great and keeps me motivated. I like that the studio is a friendly environment, and I have met and enjoyed working out with people of all ages and abilities. My daughter enjoys joining me when she is home from college, and agrees the classes are great!” ~Jody W.
“I have had the great pleasure in attending many of Michele’s classes. She is a one of a kind instructor; her passion, knowledge, love for Yoga is so apparent in every breath of her journey through each class. After every single one of her classes I feel as though my physical energy has been replenished, my soul soothed, and my mind open.” ~Kristin N.
“If you are looking for an overall amazing Yoga instructor, Michele is where it’s at! I cannot explain the amount of love and respect I have for this woman. Her delivery of verbal and physical instructions are as clear as a can be. Her knowledge in explaining the benefits of each pose and breath are awe-inspiring and perfect. She has this warmth to her that you feel radiate into your body as she walks about the class, giving personal attention and modifications. You will leave her classes energized and full of light!” ~Jen H.
“As the owner of Powerhouse Fitness and Yoga, Michele Rath is not only a talented businessperson and teacher, but a strong spiritual leader as well. She knows how to relate to all of her members and provides a welcome and comfortable atmosphere for everyone. Thanks to Michele and her amazing staff, I have not only gained physical strength, balance, and flexibility but have—more importantly— achieved peace of mind, calmness and mental relaxation that has totally changed my perspective on life. Michele is a shining light whose positive energy spreads among all of her students and members.” ~Carole M.

We cannot emphasize more the importance of travel insurance. As we all know, especially as travelers, “life happens.” Whether it’s family, work, mother nature, or a change of heart, it is important to be prepared in case you need to unexpectedly change your travel plans. Often for less than $150, you can purchase a travel insurance policy and be protected in the event that you need to make a change or need to be covered financially prior to or during your trip.
We have partnered with two insurance companies: Trawick International and CSA Travel Insurance (available for U.S. Residents only). For Non-U.S. Residents this policy with Trawick insurance is available: Safe Travels Multi-National.
We encourage you to research the insurance company and policy that best meets your needs.
