Specialties: Power/Vinyasa Yoga, Certified trainer in Canfield Success Principles, Clifton Strengths Finder, Real Colors and Stress Management
My yoga practice began in 2002 while I was training for triathlons and knew I needed to find balance in my workouts. I loved what I found in Vinyasa yoga so much so that I completed my Level One Teacher Training with Baron Baptiste in 2007 and began teaching yoga shortly thereafter. A few years later I completed my Level Two and Level Three with Amazing Yoga and continue to attend a variety of continuing education workshops with well-respected teachers. In 2018 I joyfully and successfully co-led a Yoga Retreat in Peru through True Nature. I have a MEd in Wellness Management and a PhD in Human and Community Development. Through my various jobs, yoga training and life experiences, I discovered how to facilitate learning. I truly believe this is how yoga teaching works; helping people find their purpose so they can lead their most authentic life possible.
I enjoy the outdoors where I get a sense of freedom and serenity. Over the years I have learned that Power comes from the mind and we must do the work to become our most authentic selves.
Kerry McKenzie, M.S., E-RYT 500
I began to deepen my yoga practice over 10 years ago when I was faced with the reality of having to undergo yet another knee surgery. I was feeling helpless, depressed and scared that I would not be able to have the life that I love of adventure and physical activity. I soon turned those doubts into action by studying the physical, mental and spiritual side of yoga so I could help myself physically, calm my mind and connect with some thing greater than me. I completely fell in love with yoga that I began teaching vinyasa, restorative and yin soon after completing my 200 hour certification and I haven’t stopped studying (and never will). I’ve studied yoga nidra, Ayurveda wellness and yoga therapy, completed my RYT 500 level and I now have put in over 1,000 teaching hours that include studio classes, private sessions, yoga teacher trainings, workshops, karma yoga, kids yoga, and more. My most adventurous and unforgettable accomplishment was successfully co-leading a yoga retreat in Peru in 2018.
I currently reside in Pickens, SC with my wonderful husband and 2 dogs. I work at Greenville Children’s Hospital as the Childhood Obesity Prevention Coordinator where I teach and inspire families and communities to choose healthier lifestyle choices. I believe that we continue learn about ourselves and the world around us to find out what makes our heart sing, our spirit soar and then have the courage to live from this place of authenticity, to live our true nature as spirit.

“Kerry is one of the most informative intuitive yoga teachers I know! When I leave her class I feel strong, confident and humbled all at the same time. A kind soul indeed!” ~Rhonda Lollis Davis
“Kerry is such an amazing teacher, yogi, and friend. She exudes love, peace, and tranquility with her calming tone while offering great guidance to get deeper into postures. She offers great advice on modifications for any suffering, tightness, discomfort, or injuries. She has such a heart for sharing love with everyone she crosses paths with.” ~Zach Marshall
“The winding river of my life took me across the path of Kerry about 6 years ago and she continues to open many doors for me. She introduced me to “clean eating”, to Yin yoga with sound healing, and Therapeutic yoga which is yummy for my 65 plus year old body. Most importantly Kerry brought back in me the important message of listening to my small, still, inner voice. She is a leader in every regard. Her passion and commitment to finding deeper channels of meaning for herself and then giving all that inspiration back to her family of students and friends is what makes this giving, humble soul such a delight.” ~Kathy Slayter
“I love taking Kelly’s classes. My favorite instructor for sure” ~J. Gleasman
“Kelly’s power yoga is my favorite class in town. It makes me feel grounded and present while getting a serious workout.” ~J. McDonald
“Kelly was a great instructor. I’m not typically a hot yoga person, but Kelly made me feel comfortable, and I never felt pressure to do something that I couldn’t do.” ~E. Ellis
