“May dawn find you awake and alert,
approaching your new day with dreams, possibilities, and promises;
May evening find you gracious and fulfilled;
May you go into the night blessed, sheltered and protected;
May your soul calm, console and renew you.”
–Irish Poet John O’Donohue–
Give yourself the gift of a retreat week in Ireland. Join Jen and Paula for a time of going within, of ‘being,’ and connecting with like-minded souls on their own journeys as you create the conditions and the space to listen to your own inner wisdom. Gain clarity and insight with the yogic practices of asana,(movement, postures) pranayama (breathing techniques)relaxation, meditation,(“prayer is talking to ‘God’, meditation is listening,” visual imagery, yoga Nidra (yogic ‘sleep’). This is an opportunity to set aside a specific amount of time for listening to intuition and for transformative self-growth.
The morning class will be energizing, breath and prana filled, and the late afternoon/evening practice will focus on longer holds, creating space, connection to breath, different aspects of gentle yoga and yoga therapy. Create your own experience within the retreat…we will offer a class each morning and evening, leaving the day free for other excursions such as hiking, ropes courses, exploring, and self-care.
You may also choose to incorporate our Continuing Education Classes for Registered Yoga Teachers. 2 CEU Hours will be available each day with either Jen or Paula. We will schedule them at the beginning or end of the day so as not to interrupt your middle of the day activities.
The CEU series is entitled ‘Depth and Breadth of Yoga” and will incorporate the philosophical aspects of yoga as well as include a specific asana practice. We will cover the Yamas and Niyamas, the Yoga Sutras, the Bhagavad Gita, Mudras, Mantras and Meditation.

“I can’t recommend practicing with Jen enough! She has perfected the art of incorporating play into her classes yet keeping the right amount of flow. She allows her guests to drop in and move yet keeps it light and fun. Jen creates a safe place to try new moves and play with getting out of your safe zone without feeling vulnerable. Not only does she make you feel safe and comfortable to truly be yourself but she will also brighten your day. Jen is always smiling and her playful free spirit is definitely contagious, she can turn anyone’s bad day around. Jen is a great yoga instructor and inspiration. I have personally been on a yoga retreat with her before and it was magical. On this retreat, she helped me refocus myself on what truly matters to me and ignoring society’s voices. Jen helped me laugh and play on this retreat to a level I didn’t know existed. She is a wonderful role model and has a way of making everyone feel special in her presence”. –Anna C

Sacred Rivers Yoga Alliance Yoga Teacher Training Programs Testimonial:
“I signed up for the Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) at Sacred Rivers Yoga with the primary intention of personal, spiritual development. I don’t know if I could’ve prepared for the transformative experience that unfolded over the next 12 months in the program with Paula and the amazing students of my cohort. In addition to the in-depth training on the physical aspects of yoga, I learned more about myself, my beliefs about health and healing, and what it means to cultivate a personalized spiritual practice. I absolutely loved how we were taught to weave what most resonated with our own unique styles, which made for a very rich experience. We had plenty of practical time during the program for hands-on learning and Paula brings in a breadth of outside presenters to further deepen our knowledge and opportunities. Cohorts are made up of people from all walks of life, young and old, who all come together for the common love for yoga. Newer students have the opportunity to learn and be mentored by those who are further along with their studies who also get to harness their skills through mentoring. Each student provides value to the whole of the YTT community. Paula is a wonderful and thoughtful guide and makes a clear commitment to getting to know each and every student in her programs. That to me was huge. I felt cared for, nurtured and was able to grow at my own pace.” –Marcie
