Together, we will embrace all that the stunning Italian countryside has to offer – hiking, biking, horseback riding, vineyards, and local, organic meals from the adjacent farm, served under the beautiful Tuscan skies and landscapes. Our home for the week is a beautifully restored Tuscan farmhouse and grounds, which includes panoramic views, bacci and sand volleyball, pool, trails, and a wonderful patio with wood fired oven.
This inspired week of self-care and R&R will be filled with twice daily yoga and meditation practices in the villa’s gorgeous yoga hall. Most days practice will be offered in the morning and evening to strike a perfect balance of energy. On the 2 days of group excursions, we will offer morning practice to start our day in the best possible way. You will have the chance to grow your practice and understanding of yoga as a lifelong tool for well- being, healing and spiritual growth in practices designed to awaken you to the fullness and richness of life. Experience heart-centered dynamic and restorative asana practices, pranayama, meditation, and yoga nidra each day in the inspiring and life-affirming setting of Tuscany.
Although there will be plenty of time for solitude if you seek it, we will spend time together as a community of yogis sharing laughter, conversation and of course, amazing Italian food and wine. Hike the trails around our villa, explore the vineyards, swim, bike or simply lounge with friends or a good book. Indulge yourself with optional spa treatments provided on site. We will share in 3 spectacular meals each day, prepared with fresh, local ingredients from the neighboring farm. You can even indulge in a cooking class if you like!
Two incredible excursions are included in our Retreat. Our first will take us to beautiful San Gimignano, a UNESCO Heritage site and spectacularly preserved Medieval Town, encircled by 13th-century walls and featuring ancient towers, 12th-century churches, and a breathtaking Duomo. Also known as the “Medieval Manhattan,” this town is the perfect place to explore the rich history of Tuscany. San Gimignano has been famous for the production of saffron since the 14th-century and we will happily point you to some restaurants and shops where you can discover this delicacy for yourself. We will also taste Cernaccia di San Gimignano, a white wine exclusive to this region of Italy. During this tour, you will have an opportunity to visit several museums and churches, followed by free time to explore the delicious restaurants and quaint shopping quarters. And, of course, we’ll take you to try to best gelato in Italy, found in the square of the Cistern!
Our second group excursion will lead us to Siena, ranked as one of the top five cities in the world for best quality of life. Disappear into this pedestrian-only town and explore the incredible architecture of Siena, from the stunning Piazza del Campo to the gorgeous Duomo with its multicolored marbles and wall-to-wall artistic flourishes.
Siena is one of the wealthiest cities in Italy and has competed with Florence for centuries in an attempt to prove itself as the most beautiful and artistic town in Italy. During this tour, we will visit the Duomo and explore the Piazza del Campo, where an annual horse race has taken place since the 16th century.

Barb Morsa, BA, JD, E-RYT500, YACEP
Barb is a full-time yoga and meditation teacher as well as a studio owner and teacher trainer. She directs the teacher training program at Indigo Yoga, teaches workshops and in teacher trainings nationally and is certified at the E-RYT500 level and as a continuing education provider through Yoga Alliance (YACEP).
Like many yoga teachers, Barb was drawn to yoga many times before developing a dedicated practice. She began her yoga journey after being introduced to meditation in high school. The experience of profound joy and peace, she realized, was the experience of her own soul and it launched a lifetime’s journey into Eastern philosophy and yoga.
Barb holds a B.A. in Philosophy and is former trial lawyer and assistant attorney general. In law school and again as a young mother, Barb found that her yoga practice kept her grounded during life’s inevitable challenges. With continued practice, she saw that yoga was transforming her life in both simple and profound ways. Inspired to learn and experience more, she completed her first 200 Hour teacher training at YogahOMe in Cincinnati with beloved teachers, Katy Knowles, Karina Myrsky and Lilias Folan. She began teaching yoga while maintaining a full-time corporate law practice. Several years later, she completed her 500 Hour training at YogahOMe, eventually leaving her law practice for the full time practice of yoga and the founding of Indigo Yoga. Barb believes that she has the ability to serve and help others more by sharing the wisdom and practice of yoga than in any other way and she is truly grateful for the opportunity to teach and connect with her students.
A perpetual and devoted student, Barb continues to study with many national and international teachers. She has been deeply inﬂuenced by her work with Rod Stryker, Doug Keller, and Senior Advanced Iyengar teacher, Manouso Manos, among many others. She has studied extensively in the area of Restorative Yoga with her Iyengar teachers and the Urban Zen Integrated Therapy faculty. Barb is truly passionate about yoga as a tool for active compassion, self-care and deep healing on all levels. She brings humor, compassion and wisdom to all of her heart-centered classes, which blend asana, pranayama and mindfulness meditation techniques. Both in her teaching and in life, she considers it an honor and her true dharma to help others remember their True Self through direct experience of body, mind and soul.
Claire Good, ERYT500 and YACEP
Claire discovered Yoga during high school, practicing the postures at home to compliment her ballet training. As a teacher, Claire shares her passion for Yoga, teaching Hatha Yoga classes and workshops, influenced by the Para Yoga and Sri Vidya traditions. Integrating the ancient Yoga science and teachings, Claire offers practices that connect and balance the body, breath and mind. All practices include Pranayama (breath work) and Meditation.
Claire completed her 500 hour Yoga and Meditation teacher training with Karina Mirsky and is certified RYT500 through Yoga alliance. Claire continues her Yoga journey and has attended training workshops with Karina Mirsky, Katie silcox, Kathryn Budig, Lila Lolling, Becky Morrisey and Luna Kristin Ray. Currently completing a 100hr Trauma Sensitive Yoga teacher training with MYT and 300 hr Ayurvedic Life Style coaching program with Katie Silcox.
