Are you ready to discover your own sacredness? Is it time to develop a deeper connection and understanding of your own life’s journey? What better place than the Sacred Valley of Peru to delve deeper into your own being in a place where ancient civilizations were formed.
Join Candace and Ellen as they take you on a sacred journey to your own inner landscape.
On this retreat, Candace and Ellen will utilize yoga and mindfulness as a basis to begin to understand your physical being. We will engage in healing ceremonies using crystals, reiki, sound, traditional local ceremonies, and sweat lodge to deepen your connection to earth, humanity, and spirit. There will be time given to be still and to be silent. There will be time to discuss and engage in community with others.
At the end of this retreat, you will feel connected and grounded to your own inner truth. You will feel a deep sense of being rooted to your own highest sense of self, ready to move forward in life with tools to help you find grace and joy.
Are you ready to take a step back to move forward?
Every retreat is unique and, as such, the itineraries are ever-changing! We finalize the itineraries about 3-6 weeks before the retreat, but after 10 years of hosting retreats, we do have a general idea of what most schedules look like.
Most retreats include one-to-two daily yoga classes. One class takes place in the morning, either just before or just after breakfast. After the first class and meal, you have free time to explore, relax, or take part in optional add-on activities. Lunch (if included in your retreat) will take place midday, during this free time. There is then, usually, an afternoon class followed by dinner. Occasionally some teachers choose to offer an evening restorative class or group gathering after dinner as well.
In addition, there is usually one dedicated “excursion day” in which we do not have scheduled yoga classes. This is a day for people to take advantage of some of the more involved tour and excursion offerings and is always a lot of fun!
Again, this is a very general look at what your retreat schedule could be. We work closely with the teachers to design unique itineraries that reflect their style and the group that’s traveling with them. Once your specific retreat itinerary is complete, we will send it out via email, usually two or more weeks before the retreat starts. Please keep in mind all retreat itineraries are subject to change.

The retreat center’s name translates as “love from the ancient forest.” It is nestled in an oasis of native plants and fruit trees, nourished by a magnificent waterfall in the Sacred Valley of Peru. This lovely spot is in the Andes Mountains and home of the twelve mountains known as Apus—“luminous beings.” Those who come to the center have the opportunity to commune directly with these mountains, as well as with the local curanderos and pacos (healers), who engage with us for ritual and Despacho ceremony.
The guests at this center enjoy delicious meals with locally-grown and lovingly-prepared ingredients. Each guest room is a reflection of the Peruvian culture of the Sacred Valley. The entire center embodies kindness, love, and wholeness that seem to permeate the magical place.
Candace Glass, E-RYT 500 with certifications in hatha yoga, children’s yoga, yogahour, prenatal yoga, and mindfulness and is the owner of Southtown Yoga and Southtown Healing and Arts in St. Louis, MO.
Candace’s teaching is informed by the knowledge, experience, and wisdom that over 20 years of teacher experience provides. She continues to teach children, educators, yoga practitioners and those who want to teach yoga.
As a student, on her mat and off, Candace delves deeper into self-growth, with a strong emphasis on mindfulness and meditation as a practice. Yoga combined with mindfulness lead Candace to greater clarity, purpose, and self-love. Candace remains a student first, which she believes is vitally important to being a strong teacher.
Candace believes in joy, in practicing yoga with humility and effort, doing your best, and giving yourself some grace along the way. Off the mat, she can be found playing in the dirt (gardening) and spending time with her 3, four-legged babes.
Ellen Niedringhaus, E-RYT 500 Hour Teacher Trainer, has been a student of yoga since her transformative first class in 2003. A teacher for more than 10 years, she has co-owned BlueBird Yoga in St.Charles, MO, since opening in 2011. Ellen is a devoted student and practitioner of asana, meditation, and wellness. Her personal mission is to share light, hope, and humor with those around her. When she’s “off the clock”, you can find Ellen home brewing kombucha and catching the latest Paw Patrol episode with her 2 littles.
“I fell in love with this retreat! Not to mention I fell in love with myself. Self-care is the most important way to boost and maintain all states of your health. Candace organized everything. All I had to do was get a passport and pack a suitcase. I am so grateful for this experience. Everything exceeded my expectations from travel to food to mindfulness.” – Mary B.
“I had an amazing, Life altering time! Thank you everyone for this magical trip!” – Helen A.
“I feel as though it was thought out very well to ensure that, if you were open, it could guide you on your journey of healing. Each day required a new building block and each building block was thoughtfully planned; it all made sense together. ” – Sarah M.
