Join Virginia natives Allison and Becky (Tara) for a week of deep nourishment and healing from within. Held by Mother Earth and surrounded by the sweet jungle breezes, we will tune into the source of that which is our truth.  Rising with the sun, we will reignite the flame that fuels the fire of that which makes us feel strong.  Surrendering with the moon, we will honor the shadows of darkness; embracing the natural cycles that allow us to restore and heal on a cellular level.  Freely flowing to the Earth’s heartbeat and our own; these natural rhythms will allow us to live fully and abundantly in our truth.  It is then that we return to harmony.

Becky (Tara) Eschenroeder

Becky (Tara) is a 500 hour RYT, 200 hour E-RYT, RCYT, and YACEP. She is an accomplished yogi who was voted as one of the top three yoga instructors by Richmond Magazine in 2015. Becky (Tara) received her 200 hour RYT under Arlene Bjork and Grace Yoga Training Systems in late 2009.  Becky (Tara) then obtained her 500 hour RYT through Om On Yoga under the guidance and wisdom of Jennifer Elliott.

Becky (Tara) made the conscious decision to dedicate her life to bringing her love of yoga, movement, and learning to all walks of life. Her ability to meaningfully connect with those she serves so selflessly arises out of her personal commitment and disciplined approach to deepening her own learning and practice of yoga, philosophy, and meditation.

With a degree in Psychology from James Madison University combined with her Elementary Education License from Mary Baldwin College, Becky (Tara) uses both her knowledge and experience from these disciplines to design yoga workshops, classes, festival offerings, and retreats that expand the senses, broaden the mind, and open the heart to what is truly possible.

“Becky (Tara) will accept you where you are physically, emotionally and mentally and encourage you to grow within yourself to be your best while enjoying the journey along the way.” ~Lisa

“Becky (Tara) has a gift for listening to her clients and tailoring the sessions to meet their needs. She meets my body where it is on that day, without judgement. Becky (Tara) radiates positivity, which stays with me even after the conclusion of our practice. I feel the physical, mental, and spiritual growth from our sessions. I always look forward to our “yoga date night”! I would absolutely recommend Great Abiding Yoga to my friends, encouraging them to consider it an investment in self, rather than a luxury that’s out of reach.” ~Stacey

“I would recommended this retreat, or any other retreat facilitated by Tara (Becky), for women looking for a safe space in which to further evolve into the human she was created to be.  She will certainly find the necessary support, love, and resources to make such an exploration and transformation and there are no two healers better equipped to walk alongside individuals making such a journey.” ~Kaity

Allison Walton

Allison received her 200 hour Interdisciplinary Teacher Training from Nosara Yoga Institute under the guidance of Don and Amba Stapleton, including a background in comprehensive asana, pranayama, meditation and professional ethics training in the techniques, methodology and philosophy of vinyasa. Her practice and teachings have taken her from coast to coast, both nationally and internationally, including New York, Costa Rica, Hawaii and Virginia; all of which have uniquely influenced her style and desire to share yoga as a form of self-expression and self-care for all bodies of all levels, all over.

Allison’s style is known to be creative, playful, expressive, intuitive, empowering and highly feminine, with elements of meditation woven in. As a women’s health and integrative nutrition specialist, she believes that combining physical movement with deep nourishment through proper diet and lifestyle practices creates the foundation for optimal health and well-being. Her healing journey in navigating hormone-related health issues has awakened her to a more conscious lifestyle, believing that women have the power to heal themselves from within.

“When I decided to start yoga I had no clue what was involved or if I would like it, I just knew that after years of running my body through the grinder I needed something that would engage my mind while allowing me to regain and improve my flexibility, endurance, balance, and strength.  From the first class with Allison I was hooked. Allison’s teaching methodology is truly engaging of the mind and body.  Her teachings allow any one from a beginner to the most experienced, the opportunity to learn and expand. While she offers challenges for the body, she emphasizes and teaches that we should all listen to what our body is telling us and she offers variations in her flow and poses to accommodate everyone. Looking back I find myself wishing that I had found yoga earlier, and a large part of that is because of what I have been taught and what I have accomplished through Allison’s classes. I look forwarded to continued growth, and no matter what life has to throw at me I can lean on Allison’s saying of “your yoga practice will always be there for you to come back to.” – Lawrence
