Discover your inner power, and get ready to open doors that will guide you on a path of living a sacred life, and be of service with your divine gifts. Come embody the medicine of self-love and join us in the highlands of Peru in the Sacred Valley (at the foot of the Andes Mountains and Macchu Pichu), as we flow through the transformative levels of the Native American Medicine Wheel, dive deep into the practice of Yoga, and experience local shamanic traditions.
East meets West as we experience a unique synergy: the shamanic practices and rituals of the Americas and the ancient art and science of Yoga renew and deepen your relationship with yourself, your life, and Pachamama (Mother Earth). If you are a spiritual seeker, sacred site enthusiast, and passioned by personal transformation get ready for an unforgettable retreat that will connect you with nature and open your heart in ways you’ve never imagined.
Located in the heart of The Sacred Valley, Peru, this program offers a powerful place to tap into the wisdom of the land, the ancient culture, and the deep inner knowing of our own hearts. This land is said to be one of the most powerful energetic centers in the world. During this retreat, we find a harmonious and symbiotic blend of ancient indigenous wisdom and yogic teachings to guide us on this path of awakening. We will find a deep connection to nature as we explore the healing modalities of Peru. We experience the medicine of this land through a Despacho ceremony, a heart-opening cacao ceremony, traditional coca leaf readings, and sound healings throughout, with optional shamanic ceremonies offered with trusted local guides. These rituals facilitate personal transformation and healing and will leave you feeling cleansed and empowered.
Aligning with nature’s Rhythm, each day begins with a beautiful mindful asana practice in preparation for the day ahead. During the retreat, an opportunity to serve the local community in meaningful ways through karma & service work will foster the qualities of compassion and selflessness deep within, taking the yoga practice truly off-the-mat. Evening practices of Yin, Restorative, Kirtan and/or Meditation, and deeply relaxing Yoga Nidra will allow time for absorption and reflection promoting a restful night’s sleep to wake up and emerge anew. There will be time built in for exploration of the local culture and an optional overnight trip to the sacred Maccu Pichu. Each participant will have the opportunity of taking in treatments from the resort, private consultations and treatments with Shannon, and will also receive a Primordial Sound Meditation mantra from Shannon which they can use in their meditations.
We hope you can join us for a week of exploration, transformation, and ritual that is truly a soul-aligning and uplifting experience in the Sacred Valley. We hope that you will walk away from the retreat feeling refreshed, connected, and inspired to live authentically.

Increasingly drawn to nature-based spirituality, Shannon passionately utilizes yogic tools in support of growth and transformation, holding space with gentle grace in training, workshops, and retreats around the world.
Shannon has taught Yoga and Meditation for the past decade throughout the globe, sharing her passion for ‘healing’ while celebrating the interconnectedness of body, mind, and Spirit.
A dynamic yoga teacher, energy worker, and life coach, Shannon draws from the Hatha, Vinyasa Flow, Jivanmukti, Nidra, Yin and Restorative traditions, providing space for students to journey deeply into themselves as they move beyond asana into the mental, emotional, and energetic realms of yoga. Shannon also has a wealth of experience in yogic philosophy, anatomy, nutrition, Ayurveda, tantra, various yogic methods (Iyengar, Power Yoga (Baptiste), Children’s, Chair, Pre-Natal, Usui & Lightarian Reiki), and is always working to bring yoga off the mat and into the larger world. Combining her studies with yoga masters, healers, and shamans around the world, Shannon offers guided meditations and energy work in addition to asana during her classes as a way for one to transition deeper into their highest self.
As of March 2018, Shannon will have accumulated over 4000 hours of Yoga & Meditation related training and over 1000 hours in Wholistic Therapy including Herbology and Ayurveda. As an experienced teacher, she has taught over 7000 hours of classes over the past decade. She studied Science (Anatomy/Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Virology) at the University of Saskatchewan and has been coaching students in life & spirituality for over 15 years.
As a humanitarian, Shannon has donated over 3000 hours to various charities and helped raise over $3 million dollars for non-profit organizations. As a Yogi, for the past 5 years, Shannon has donated (teaching without compensation) 35-40 classes/month for her local community so that they may use the tools she’s learned through her studies to further themselves in their own personal journeys.
She is also a mother of a little Yogi and Spiritual Seeker/Teacher.
“Shannon is very easy to work with and knows her Yoga. I would definitely recommend her as an instructor. I also ended up joining her class and really enjoyed it. It wasn’t something I’d ever done before so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Not only did my body feel good but my mind did as well. It was a great class, I look forward to more classes with Shannon!” – Amber Whitehead
“I am so grateful to have yoga in my life, Shannon taught me how to take time for myself, breathe deeply, relax, and strengthen my body and spirit. I love the support, encouragement, and friendships from our fellow Yogis! Namaste. ” – Fawn Brown
“I love the yoga classes that Shannon teaches. Some elements are challenging, but at the same time, I feel relaxed and refreshed after each class.” – Monica Doorenbos
“Shannon, Thank you so much for all you’ve done for me. You’ve helped me grow and return love to myself. Your ripples will continue to grow…”
“Shannon, words are hard to find to express my happiness and gratitude that our paths crossed. Thankfully this is not goodbye and I am fortunate enough to get to continue to learn from you. I look up to you in the way that you truly embody the yogic lifestyle. There have been many times where I find myself asking “What would Shannon do” and it has helped me to become a better person. With all my heart, I thank you.”
“Wow, what an asset to our community to have someone so young and youthful teach the children of our community about the art of yoga. I worked a brief week with Shannon, and a few weeks prior leading up to a week-long event, and enjoyed every minute, as well did the participants. Her kind nature, and love and knowledge for yoga was apparent from our first conversation. The program we ran together was organized and implemented solely by Shannon, from supplies, time management, and of course the Art of yoga! I still have calls wanting more YOGA! Thanks, Shannon for your ideas and magically making them happen!” – Aimee Deans
“I loved the retreat! Was very nervous about going as this is not a typical thing for me to do, especially going by myself without a buddy or close friend. Once the retreat started I soo
n felt at ease and truly loved the whole day. Wish it could’ve been two full days. This has definitely left me with a longing to learn so much more!” – Kathleen Threinen
“Shannon and I worked together for many years. Although in different cities, I was able to benefit and learn from her talents. Shannon is born with a gift that many professional business people will neverobtain. She is extremely goal-oriented, dedicated, polite, eager, determined, loyal, honest, and etc. The positive attributes and characteristics are endless. Only few people in this world will have an opportunity to work with and/or know Shannon Lynn. Those people are lucky. The day will come where I own a business or manage a team…at that time, I will look for individuals just like her.” — Benjamin Dlin
