Accommodations
The retreat will be held at a boutique hotel and yoga retreat oasis located five minutes outside of the village of Ubud, Bali in Indonesia. The center is dedicated to creating a place of happiness where groups or individuals can come to relax, adventure, deepen their practices, eat great food, play in the sun, and get back to being themselves.
Immerse yourself in the perfect blend of modern elegance and traditional Balinese charm, nestled between a tranquil river on one side and ancient rice terraces on the other. All of the staff on their amazing team come from nearby villages and will make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The private campus offers an oasis where transformation, connection, and inspiration thrive. Every detail has been carefully curated to create an immersive and unforgettable experience, blending luxury, comfort, and Balinese charm. Practice yoga on the dedicated pool side shala, and afterwards, cool off with a dip in the pool or enjoy a massage, facial, or full body treatment in their spa.
The fresh, organic food is a highlight for all of our guests. All the produce is organic and comes from the retreat center’s garden or the local market. A delicious blend of Balinese and Western cuisine is served in the open-air, bamboo roof dining area, crafted by amazing local chefs. Vegetarian, vegan, and non-vegetarian options are served alongside an amazing array of colorful juices, and smoothies. Juices and other specialty drinks are not included in the retreat package.
Justina Sanford – Retreat Leader, 500 E-RYT
Justina began practicing and studying yoga with what felt like every style available. She found a love for Power yoga and the way it challenged students differently than other styles she had practiced. “It woke me up. Before, I was just floating around, but Power yoga shook something into me.” Justina has since been studying personal development and thought leadership and bringing it to the yoga practice.
Justina is the owner of Ignite Yoga and has been teaching yoga since 2010, is a 500+ E-RYT, and has been leading and assisting yoga teacher trainings, retreats, and immersions since 2012. She’s a certified Baptiste Yoga instructor and has assisted in hosting weekend and week-long programs with the Baptiste Institute. Justina has further studied with instructors such as Noah Maze, Rocky Heron, Sadie Nardini, Seane Corn, and Matt Giordano, receiving an additional 300-hour training in Chromatic Yoga and certification in Core Strength Vinyasa. Furthermore, she’s attended immersive business and leadership programs w Tony Robbins and Baron Baptiste and has done extensive self-study on the topics of emotion, communication, business, and human psychology. She also holds bachelors degrees in both Music Therapy and Psychology.
When she’s not sharing yoga, you’ll find Justina outside on the hiking trails, spending time with her three pups, hubs, and daughter, traveling, or learning something new—like the newest endeavor of playing harmonium.
Katie Mitchell – Facilitator, 200 E-RYT
Katie began practicing yoga at her local YMCA in 2009 and slowly built a steady home practice over the following years. Her desire for community led her to find Ignite Yoga, where she dove into teacher training. She describes her classes and teaching style as laid back and cheerful. “As a mother of three boys, you learn to keep your head cool and your heart open.”
Katie has been teaching yoga since 2015 and is a 200 hour E-RYT. She’s also certified through Yoga Alliance as a Continuing Education Provider. She has a natural instinct to work with beginner yoga students and has since created numerous programs for Ignite Yoga to support this clientele (as it’s her most fulfilling calling.) Katie cares deeply about teaching with respect to the roots of yoga and has done extensive self-study on the topics of cultural appropriation and yoga ethics. Katie is currently expanding her learning in the realm of Reiki and herbal medicine.
Some of Katie’s favorite things to do outside of the studio include playing in the sunshine, loving up her fam, and generally trying to enjoy all that life has to offer.

Travel Insurance
We cannot emphasize more the importance of travel insurance. As we all know, especially as travelers, “life happens.” Whether it’s family, work, mother nature, or a change of heart, it is important to be prepared in case you need to unexpectedly change your travel plans. Often for less than $150, you can purchase a travel insurance policy and be protected in the event that you need to make a change or need to be covered financially prior to or during your trip.
We have partnered with Trawick International (available for U.S. Residents only). Read more about their policies here. We encourage you to research the insurance company and policy that best meets your needs.
