Dakini Jaeger

Dakini’s journey began in the competitive world of ballet, where self-care was secondary to pushing physical limits. At age 12, she became an apprentice with a ballet company, and by 17, she was a professional dancer. After years of injuries and relentless dedication, she tore her hamstring in 1997, leading her to discover yoga through a Bikram class. For the first time, she experienced movement that felt authentic and healing, both physically and spiritually.

In 2003, Dakini joined CorePower Yoga as a manager and nurtured a dream of opening her own studio. This dream became a reality in 2007 with the launch of CorePower Yoga Central Park under her company, Blue World Yoga, LLC. Her vision was to create a supportive space where each practitioner could deepen their understanding of body, mind, and spirit through yoga. Dakini’s teaching blends harmony and fluidity, and she finds joy in sharing her energy with her students.

After a career spanning NYC, LA, and Las Vegas, Dakini retired to Colorado, where she expanded her practice. She completed CorePower’s Level I 200-hour Teacher Training in 2002 and later began co-leading teacher trainings. Today, through Blue World Yoga, she continues to guide students in their practice, believing that the true light of yoga shines when we uplift one another.

Testimonials

“Dakini’s retreats are expertly curated journeys full of mirth, beauty, and magic. I came away from the week knowing so much more about my body and with the insight and skills to help me advance in my yoga practice. The care and skill she takes to make all the people on the trip comfortable and happy is masterful. I would go on a retreat with Dakini anywhere she holds one!” – Marnie A., Previous Retreat Participant

“Dakini is an amazing retreat leader! She challenged us to look inward and reflect on our strengths, what we wanted to learn, and how we wanted to grow (throughout the time together and beyond).  Her knowledge of the beautiful practice of yoga and kinesiology is extensive. You always feel safe and reassured with your own physical boundaries and potential limitations. We were able to build such special bonds with our wonderful group and with Dakini since she is such a beautiful, welcoming, and approachable person.  We had such a fun time together! Celebrating each night over many laughs and good spirits!”Daphne, Previous Retreat Participant

“Over the past 10 years, I have attended seven of Dakini’s retreats, and I keep returning for a reason. Her voyages combine the discipline and focus of yoga with a sense of community and purpose; the trips are consistently rewarding, challenging and enjoyable. The yoga is always top-notch, and Dakini also brings all her skills as an organizer and world traveler to offer complementary excursions that give attendees a true sense of the culture and history of any given country.”Adam G., Previous Retreat Participant

Travel Insurance

We cannot emphasize more the importance of travel insurance. As we all know, especially as travelers, “life happens.” Whether it’s family, work, mother nature, or a change of heart, it is important to be prepared in case you need to unexpectedly change your travel plans. Often for less than $150, you can purchase a travel insurance policy and be protected in the event that you need to make a change or need to be covered financially prior to or during your trip.

We have partnered with Trawick International (available for U.S. Residents only). Read more about their policies here. We encourage you to research the insurance company and policy that best meets your needs.
