RETREAT DESCRIPTION

The Indonesian island of Bali has been a destination for Karina since her 20’s. She turns 50 in 2025, and this is her gift to herself. Her dream is to share this experience with like-minded friends.

Karina chose to visit Bali over Nyepi, the sacred Balinese new year and “Day of Silence.” Nyepi is a day to stay home, introspect and harmonize with the natural world. The Balinese are an indigenous culture with a long preserved heritage. All on the island, even foreign guests must respect the laws on Nyepi –namely, stay off the roads and keep light and sound pollution to a minimum. Visiting Bali during Nyepi is a rare opportunity to experience collective spiritual practice with 4 million other people.

So our first day on retreat will be somewhat unusual – but in the best way possible:

  • On our first full day (3/29), we get to simply arrive, rest, recover from travel, and just “be” –with ourselves and our own small group– in paradise. (Meals will be prearranged)
  • Silence allows for extero’ and interoception. We’ll take in our external surroundings with enhanced awareness of our internal experiences, creating embodied memories.
  • We’ll use this opportunity to be contemplative through meditation, journaling and art.

There will be so much to share about the following day!

The remainder of our trip will include daily on-site programs and joyous excursions to lush beaches, epic waterfalls, romantic hot springs, exquisite architecture, and sacred sites. Come on this magical adventure to connect with the earth, beautiful people, and your True Self.

Travel Insurance

We cannot emphasize more the importance of travel insurance. As we all know, especially as travelers, “life happens.” Whether it’s family, work, mother nature, or a change of heart, it is important to be prepared in case you need to unexpectedly change your travel plans. Often for less than $150, you can purchase a travel insurance policy and be protected in the event that you need to make a change or need to be covered financially prior to or during your trip.

We have partnered with two insurance companies: Trawick International and CSA Travel Insurance (available for U.S. Residents only).

Read more about our insurance partners and their policies here. We encourage you to research the insurance company and policy that best meets your needs.
