Silvi Harwin

Sylvi loves yoga because it transports her to a place of peace and joy, and  because it is in essence her personal dance to celebrate life. In teaching yoga she can share her passion for a practice and path that means so much to her. She deems herself fortunate in that her mother taught her yoga when she was  a toddler through her teen years, and the yoga philosophy marked her profoundly even then ( she became a vegetarian at 15). She hopes to awaken or further spark this interest in others. She is happy if she can help a student achieve a new pose, enhance one they already do well or practice despite limiting injuries, and especially create a class so that they really enjoy their practice. She is good at teaching a multi-level class, giving all the options from a beginner’s needs to a challenge for the regular practitioner. She loves a vinyasa flow so in all of her classes you can expect to really move if you enjoy that. When her classes are small enough she particularly likes to use the wall to aid in finding the perfect alignment and expression of a pose.

In addition to her certification in Hatha Yoga Sylvi is also certified to teach Yin Yoga, an all-level class designed to build the practitioner’s flexibility on a core level. This is also a healing modality for those with minor disabilities, scar tissue, skeletal issues or joint replacements. She is also certified in Iyengar Wall Straps for all levels and is a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider. She offers periodic yoga teacher trainings.

Keila Rae Jenson

KeilaKeila Rae Jenson, RYT 200 & Yin Certified  has been an avid yoga practitioner since 2014, after searching for a more healthy, balanced and happy lifestyle. She has witnessed the benefits of yoga in all aspects of her life and credits the healing power of yoga with her physical, mental, and spiritual health.  As her personal practice strengthened, so did her conviction that she wanted to become part of the chain of healing and awakening by becoming a yoga teacher herself.

Keila-Rae trained and taught under the direction of Rached Maalouf for five years at Sattva Yoga Center in Escondido. She feels most happy when she can see yoga improving someone’s life, just as it does for hers. Being a part of someone’s health and healing, connecting mind, body, and spirit are what she finds most fulfilling. After Rached’s passing in 2019, Keila-Rae and her husband, David, became the new stewards of Sattva Yoga Center and she has continued to teach and guide practitioners there in Rached’s method to this day.

Keila-Rae is thrilled to be teaching in Costa Rica! She loves traveling and adventure and doing new things, and is honored to be teaching alongside Miss Sylvi— and hopes to give everyone who joins an awesome experience.

“If I’m not teaching yoga, then I’m probably taking yoga” – Keila-Rae Jenson

As we all know, especially as travelers, “life happens.” Whether it’s family, work, mother nature, or a change of heart, it is important to be prepared in case you need to unexpectedly change your travel plans. Often for less than $150, you can purchase a travel insurance policy and be protected in the event that you need to make a change or need to be covered financially prior to or during your trip.

We have partnered with two insurance companies: Trawick International and CSA Travel Insurance (available for U.S. Residents only).
