JULIE SHANNON WILLIAMS
M.Ed., C-IAYT, YACEP, PCA LEAD TRAINER YACEP
Julie attended her first yoga class in 1999, with the idea that it would be a fun, new way to move the body, and enjoy dinner with good friends after class. She was pleasantly surprised at the depth of the practice and the options for growth in experience that took her to a whole new level and perspective of how she would come to define “yoga”. Moving forward, it became a way of life instead of a form of exercise.
Julie has been an educator in many capacities for more than 20 years. She is a certified yoga therapist (C-IAYT) and a Pain Care Aware Lead Trainer. She is the owner and founder of Santosha Yoga Therapy LLC where she primarily works with people in areas such as: chronic pain, autoimmune diseases, functional yoga therapy, and mental health (i.e. anxiety, depression, and grief).
Julie offers private sessions working with clients of all ages, and also supports the individual with an On Demand Yoga Therapy Library meeting each person where they are on their own health and wellness journey.
In addition, she teaches on a project-by-project basis with HealthPartners Neuroscience Center and TRIA Orthopedic Center in MN. Julie is an educator at heart leading seminars, trainings, and retreats in various locations.
Off the mat, Julie enjoys travel, hiking, reading, camping, and truly treasures time with family and friends. To this day, Julie loves continuing her education of yoga and meditation and sharing it with others.
