I discovered Hot Power Yoga in 2003. A friend took me to a class and I never looked back! I always enjoyed working out but this was so different, the heat and the challenging poses allowed you to lengthen and strengthen your body. The biggest unexpected benefit came from the rhythmic breathing, which allowed you to focus, clear your busy mind and tune into your body movement, becoming present in that moment. I had four young children at the time, and practicing Hot Power Yoga 3 to 4 times a week made such positive changes in my life, mind and body. It became my passion and I wanted to spread the joy and benefits of yoga.
I started my journey in 2012 and became a 200hr certified Power Vinyasa Yoga teacher in 2013. I started teaching the week I graduated and have loved every moment, It is so exciting and rewarding to encourage students and see their personal growth through their yoga practice. Since then I have furthered my yoga education with workshops in different styles of yoga. I found assist trainings so useful in the Asana room, it allowed me to be more hands on, helping students to deepen their practice and have proper alignment to avoid injury. In 2019 my daughter brought me to a Yoga Sculpt class, it was something new and different, so invigorating and I couldn’t wait to take that class again. Yoga Sculpt combines yoga, cardio and strength training into one fun and unique class using upbeat music. It is designed to boost your metabolism, strength, energy and flexibility. I became a certified Yoga Sculpt teacher in 2020 and have been teaching it since.
All different types of yoga have so many benefits on and off the mat. I love that I am constantly learning and sharing that knowledge with my students. In 2022, I had the pleasure of being invited to co-teach at a resort on one of the Keys, in Florida for a Yoga Wellness Retreat. To see all these like minded people come together to practice yoga in a serene setting away from the chaos of everyday life and form life long bonds and friendships was so special. I’m looking forward to continuing in spreading the love and benefits of yoga for many years to come.

In 2016, a friend asked me to come to an Inferno Hot Pilates Class with her at a yoga studio in Vermont. Being pretty adventurous, I decided to give it a try. . It was nothing like I expected! I loved the combination of strength building, cardio and most importantly, core work. The 60 minutes went by in a flash and I was hooked! IHP was hard to find in my home state of Massachusetts so in 2018 I decided to take the Level 1 training with the founder, Gabriella Walters and took my Level 2 training in 2019.
I teach a challenging and energizing upbeat class but offer modifications for the students that are still building up strength. I encourage people to do their very best each time that they show up on their mat to achieve the results that they are after. I love teaching as much as I enjoy taking class and watching people build strength and flexibility.
