During our time together on retreat we will return to embodied wisdom – the powerful knowledge held in our bodies that can support us in living with more joy and freedom.  Our movement sessions in the morning and late afternoon will include a combination of Vinyasa yoga, intuitive movement, and creative play. We will also honor and cultivate what we have always known but may have forgotten through meditative writing practice, sound healing, breathwork, freedom dance, and plenty of time for rest on the beautiful grounds of our retreat site. We will also explore off grounds and connect to the rich Trelawny community. When it is time to return home, we will have an expansive toolkit of practices and strategies to carry with us. Embodied Poetics is just the beginning! Our bodies are poetry. Our lives can be powerfully poetic. All practices will be accessible and you may choose to participate as you like.

Our movement practice will not be in the form of a traditional yoga lineage but instead will reflect a smart synthesis of Vinyasa asana, functional mobility, and intuitive movement. Our meditation practices will integrate mindfulness and clairvoyant (or clear seeing and feeling) techniques. We will also practice daily pranayama and have at least one full Holotropic Breathwork session.

Testimonials

“Practicing yoga with Aimee daily during the retreat gave me a complete reset on life. I have never felt more connected to my body, my yoga practice, or an instructor than I do after Aimee’s classes. The energy is incredible!”

“Aimee was fantastic. Full stop.”

“Aimee is the reason I went on the retreat and the reason that it was such an incredible experience. She is a master yoga teacher and a brilliant scholar and this comes through in her classes. The classes were amazing and progressed seamlessly over the course of the retreat. I have been on other retreats and none have compared to Aimee’s”

Travel Insurance

We cannot emphasize more the importance of travel insurance. As we all know, especially as travelers, “life happens.” Whether it’s family, work, mother nature, or a change of heart, it is important to be prepared in case you need to unexpectedly change your travel plans. Often for less than $150, you can purchase a travel insurance policy and be protected in the event that you need to make a change or need to be covered financially prior to or during your trip.

We have partnered with two insurance companies: Trawick International and CSA Travel Insurance (available for U.S. Residents only).

Read about our insurance partners and their policies here. We encourage you to research the insurance company and policy that best meets your needs.
