Trelawny, Jamaica Retreat with Amy Hogan and Tracy Liberman

You’re invited to join Amy and Tracy on their 5th Yoga+Bliss retreat together…and this time they’re heading to the beautiful island of Jamaica! During this retreat, attendees will explore yoga through daily practices while opening their hearts to the tropical beauty of the center, just outside of Montego Bay in Trelawny, Jamaica. The retreat center is located on 2000 acres of a beautiful, tropical countryside surrounded by breathtaking hillside views, coconut and citrus groves and many trails to explore by foot or horse. A working dude ranch thrives on the property, along with pottery and painting studios to spark creativity! The beautiful water of the Caribbean Sea is just a few minutes away via a private shuttle ride to a private beach with a beach house, kayaks, and paddleboards prepared especially for Amy & Tracy’s group! All participants will stay in the GORGEOUS accommodations of two historic homes which have been renovated in bohemian perfection. Each of the 12 total rooms feature a private bathroom, air-conditioning and very peaceful vibes. Three meals a day are included with this retreat and will be served family-style in an outdoor veranda surrounded by tropical beauty in all directions, or indoors in a beautiful antique dining room.

All yoga classes will be flow-based and geared to all levels of practitioners, with modifications offered. Beginners are very welcome! Throughout the week, all yogis will work to unveil the most vibrant and blissful versions of themselves through the practice of yoga AND the natural tropical beauty of the surrounding land.

Daily Life in Paradise:

Rise with the sun or sleep in…choices, choices!  Each morning, 2 yoga classes will be offered in the open-air, on-site yoga studio: one at 8am and one at 10am. Come to one, both or neither – attendance is optional for all classes. After morning yoga and breakfast, free time will be enjoyed to explore the land or relax. Lunch and dinner will be offered daily at Good Hope, however all are welcome to explore the food in the surrounding areas. Special ceremonies and yoga practices will be offered during a few nights of the retreat, while free time will be on the schedule during other evenings. Amy Hogan and Tracy Liberman

Amy Hogan

Amy was introduced to the benefits of yoga in 2001, while living in Charleston, SC. She initially established a yoga practice to help alleviate stress and release tension resulting from daily life in corporate sales, but soon discovered that the practice was so much deeper and vast! Her curiosity grew, along with her dedication to a healthy, conscious lifestyle centered around yoga. After moving to Austin in 2011, she made the decision to leave the corporate world to spend precious time with my young children, while exploring different styles of yoga and meditation. She received her 200RYT certification through an Austin-based Hatha Flow program, then opened a Yoga and Wellness Studio in Northwest Austin in 2015 which offered many styels of Yoga classes, Massage Therapy, Energy Work and Creative Workshops. She went on to receive her 300hr certification with Amy Ippoliti, an international yoga teacher/author/Earth activist in Boulder, Colorado.

In August 2020, she closed her physical studio (as a result of the pandemic) and transitioned to a Livestream and Outdoor yoga company called Mantra Yoga Collective. And now, she’s getting excited to re-open a brick-and-mortar studio called, ‘The Retreat’ in Northwest Austin! The new studio will be a gathering place for yoga, community and connection filled with the tropical vibes gathered from Amy & Tracy’s retreats with True Nature!

Amy’s teaching style is challenging, yet playful…motivating, yet mindful.  By linking breath with movement, she guides students through creative, flow-based sequences while offering insightful alignment cues and modifications. Most of her classes are theme-based with the goal of applying ancient yoga philosophy to modern day life; and she LOVES bringing in all types of music from DJ Drez to Bob Marley to Willie Nelson. She enjoys teaching to students of all levels and abilities and aims to provide a space where all feel welcome and comfortable.

Amy looks forward to joining her friend and yoga-sister Tracy Liberman, for JAMAICA 2024: A Yoga+Bliss Retreat!

Tracy Liberman

Tracy, a Mountain girl turned Texan, began working in the fitness realm in 1997 as the director of a children’s gymnastics center.

In 2001 moving on to program directing for a local Pilates Studio where she was considering training in the Joseph Pilates Method, this is where she was pleasantly Re-introduced to Yoga, a favorite college pastime.

Tracy began taking daily yoga classes at the Pilates center and became hooked, immediately switched gears and began yoga teacher training.

Shortly thereafter, Tracy completed her Hatha certification through Yoga Yoga TT in Austin Texas and became registered through The Yoga Alliance, RYT.

After teaching a bit, and becoming a mother, She found it a natural next step to add both Pre and Postnatal Yoga training to her resume and completed both trainings with Leslie Lytle in 2005.

Tracy considers her teaching style to be fun loving with emphasis on rhythm and flow, influenced greatly by the teachings of B. K. S. Iyengar, Shiva Rea, Ana Forrest & Kathryn Budig.

She encourages her students to fluidly move through vinyasa while deepening postures and finding ease through the effort.  Tracy looks to her students for inspiration each time she steps on her mat, personalizing each class accordingly.

Tracy’s playlists are a bit eclectic, often you’ll hear Yaz, Krishna Das, Toto and the Dixie Chicks within the same hour, singing along is always encouraged.

Tracy looks forward to once again collaborating with her dear friend and colleague, Amy Hogan,  for this fabulous retreat offering in paradise! She can’t wait to share her mat & heart with you all!
