Join us in an idyllic tropical paradise on Panama’s Caribbean coast for a retreat that blends the wisdom of nature with the nurturing power of self-awareness. “Nurture and Nature: A Mind-Body Yoga Retreat” is designed to offer a holistic experience where participants can explore the deep connections between their personal and family histories, epigenetics, and their physical and emotional well-being in a gorgeous setting.

Throughout this retreat, you will delve into how nature (your genetic makeup, biology, and environment) and nurture (your life experiences and lifestyle choices) work together to shape your overall health, growth, and healing. Through a series of immersive workshops and yoga practices, we will explore the emerging science of epigenetics—how your environment, thoughts, and habits can influence gene expression and open pathways for healing and transformation.

Highlights of the Retreat

  • Epigenetics and Healing: Learn how your lifestyle and practices can influence your genes, creating opportunities for healing and growth at the cellular level. Reflect on patterns, gain an understanding of how your lineage has shaped who you are today, and learn how to shift inherited challenges to channel the great success that is you! All of your ancestors are rooting for you.
  • Anatomy and Biochemistry: Gain insight into how your body’s systems, from muscles and organs to biochemical processes, respond to yoga, meditation, and mindfulness practices. Phase of life changes will be explored in depth.
  • Yoga and Meditation Practices: Daily yoga sessions designed to align your mind and body, enhancing flexibility, strength, and mental clarity. Meditation and mindfulness workshops will provide tools for inner awareness, balance, and stress reduction.
  • Nature Immersion: Panama’s serene landscapes will serve as the perfect backdrop to experience nature’s influence on mind-body healing. Throughout the day, you’ll have opportunities to explore the surrounding environment, paddling through mangroves, spying on sloths, or simply observing the marine life from your bungalow’s glass floor.
  • Healing and Growth: Discover ways to cultivate personal growth through mindful living, setting the foundation for long-term health and well-being.
  • Nourishment: Enjoy local island cuisine with wonderful vegetarian options along with fresh fish and seafood. Renew your relationship with your body’s natural rhythms and find a deep sense of satisfaction.

This retreat is ideal for those seeking a deeper understanding of their bodies and minds, their ancestral influences, and the power of yoga and mindfulness to unlock their utmost potential. Whether you’re looking to heal, evolve, or simply connect more deeply with yourself, this journey will provide the tools to nurture your growth and transformation. We warmly invite family members to join together in this healing experience, where adolescents through elders are welcome. Inter-generational connections are a highlight of our Yoga for Mental Health retreats, offering a unique opportunity to strengthen family bonds, share wisdom, and grow collectively in a supportive, nurturing environment.

Awaken the best version of yourself—through nature, nurture, and the wisdom of your practice.

Travel Insurance

We cannot emphasize more the importance of travel insurance. As we all know, especially as travelers, “life happens.” Whether it’s family, work, mother nature, or a change of heart, it is important to be prepared in case you need to unexpectedly change your travel plans. Often for less than $150, you can purchase a travel insurance policy and be protected in the event that you need to make a change or need to be covered financially prior to or during your trip.

We have partnered with Trawick International (available for U.S. Residents only). Read more about their policies here. We encourage you to research the insurance company and policy that best meets your needs.
