Being and Becoming: Invoking the creative wisdom of Ayurveda and Yoga to tap into a life of meaning
La Fortuna, Costa Rica Retreat with Farah Nazarali and Glynnis Osher
Peel off layers of fatigue, resistance, overwhelm, toxins, and mental stressors and immerse in ayurvedic self-care rituals and yoga amidst an abundant, lush tropical rainforest.
Each day, we will explore the five elements- ether, air, fire, water, and earth. We’ll nourish our bodies and mind with the gentle wisdom of ayurveda and the subtle and powerful movements of yoga. The Retreat is designed for you to rest, restore your energy, tap into your creativity and intuition and align yourself with natural rhythms and natural laws that support us in cultivating higher states of being and becoming all that we aspire to be.
Start the day with sunrise yoga and meditation. Enjoy tropical fruits, and spend time hiking in the rainforest, touring a cacao plantation, learning about biodynamic farming, or taking time for yourself. Afternoons will include ayurvedic self-massage, aromatherapy, and self-care practices, yoga (nidra) relaxation, and open-hearted discussions about nature, the elements, and weaving the sacred into everyday rituals. End the day with sunset meditation and yoga for sleep.

Testimonials
“Thank you both for your gentle and wise guidance. Glynnis, I valued how in your introductions to us you demonstrated such reverence and honour for each food item and for us – the beautiful ghee and rich spices were presented as blessings. You helped me to greet my sustenance. I found myself meeting my source of nourishment with mindfulness. What a gift. I’m returning to work tomorrow, to my classroom, my students and the good people I spend most days with. I feel refreshed and loving to myself. I know that we can play a role in our communities by reverberating gentleness and awareness and by presenting a model of self care. Travel Insurance
We cannot emphasize more the importance of travel insurance. As we all know, especially as travelers, “life happens.” Whether it’s family, work, mother nature, or a change of heart, it is important to be prepared in case you need to unexpectedly change your travel plans. Often for less than $150, you can purchase a travel insurance policy and be protected in the event that you need to make a change or need to be covered financially prior to or during your trip.
We have partnered with two insurance companies: Trawick International and CSA Travel Insurance (available for U.S. Residents only).
Read more about our insurance partners and their policies here. We encourage you to research the insurance company and policy that best meets your needs.
