Nadi Shodhana Pranayama

A breath practice to calm your restless mind and return to balance.

Nadi Shodhana Pranayama (nah-dee show-DAH-nah)
nadi = channel
shodhana = cleaning, purifying

Alternate Nostril Breathing (Nadi Shodhana Pranayama) assists in balancing the right and left hemispheres of our brain, as well as bringing balances to our nasal passageways!

The Practice:

Create Vishnu Mudra with your right hand: (tuck right, peace fingers into the palm) and lightly close right nostril with your thumb.

Inhale through your left nostril to the count of 4.

Lightly close left nostril with your right ring finger and lift the right thumb, exhaling through your right nostril to count of 4.

You’ve completed 1 round… strive to work up to 7-8 rounds for the health of it!

Om shanti!
