Andrea Trombley, DPT
Founder of Strong Women, Strong Bones®
Andrea Trombley is a Doctor of Physical Therapy, therapeutic yoga teacher, and the founder of Strong Women, Strong Bones®, an online education and movement community dedicated to helping women with osteopenia and osteoporosis build strength, improve balance, and continue doing the activities they love with confidence.
With both a master’s degree and doctoral degree in Physical Therapy, Andrea has spent her career helping people move better, feel stronger, and maintain independence through evidence-based exercise and movement strategies. Her passion for bone health grew from her own experience discovering low Vitamin D levels during her pre-menopausal years and realizing how easily bone loss can go unnoticed—even by someone with a background in health and fitness.
Determined to help more women understand that osteopenia and osteoporosis do not mean giving up the activities they love, Andrea created Strong Women, Strong Bones®. Through her programs, she combines her expertise in physical therapy, strength training, yoga, balance, and functional movement to empower women with the knowledge and confidence they need to protect their bones and stay active for life.
Andrea believes aging strong is about more than preventing fractures—it is about having the confidence to lift grandchildren, carry luggage, hike new trails, travel, and participate fully in the activities that bring joy and meaning to life.
When she is not teaching, Andrea practices what she teaches. She enjoys hiking, running, strength training, yoga, pickleball, and exploring new adventures as she prepares for her own active retirement someday.
Andrea is passionate about creating a supportive community where women can learn, connect, and celebrate what their bodies are capable of. She is thrilled to bring the Strong Women, Strong Bones community together in Costa Rica for a week of movement, learning, connection, and unforgettable experiences.

Travel Insurance
We cannot emphasize more the importance of travel insurance. As we all know, especially as travelers, “life happens.” Whether it’s family, work, mother nature, or a change of heart, it is important to be prepared in case you need to unexpectedly change your travel plans. Often for less than $150, you can purchase a travel insurance policy and be protected in the event that you need to make a change or need to be covered financially prior to or during your trip.
We have partnered with Trawick International (available for U.S. Residents only). Read more about their policies here. We encourage you to research the insurance company and policy that best meets your needs.
