Sun, Stone, and Spirit: Yoga Retreat in Greece

Greece and the myths of yoga are a match made in heaven—or perhaps, on Olympus. Both traditions use storytelling to explain the human condition, the struggles of daily life, and the path to inner peace. Join Kelly for this seven-day, six-night retreat into the myths and practice of yoga. Play with the parallels between timeless Greek and yogic stories and how they illustrate and guide our path today.

Each day will involve a different myth or story from the ancient texts and how it relates to our experience of being human. Rise with the sun to chant and meditate overlooking the turquoise ocean. Practice active, Alignment-based Hatha Yoga every morning, explore the local villages by day, and enjoy a gentle, restorative evening yoga practice that includes myofascial release and longer guided relaxations as the sun sets. It will be a transformative week of sun, the fire of our yoga practices, stone, our solid foundation in the daily rhythms of a yogi, and spirit, a deeper connection to wholeness and atman.

The Amorgos Island retreat center offers a haven of tranquility, with its stunning views, world-class amenities, and exceptional service. During your free time, you can unwind by the pool, indulge in rejuvenating spa treatments, or explore the local area’s charming villages and pristine beaches. Savor the flavors of the Mediterranean with delicious, locally sourced cuisine, catering to all dietary needs.

This retreat is a fabulous opportunity for self-care and transformation. With meditation, mindful movement, delicious food, and a spectacular location amidst the breathtaking landscapes of Greece, you will return home feeling refreshed and rejuvenated with an enhanced sense of self due to the connection to the timeless myths and stories of our shared humanity. Find out how breathing the fresh ocean air and a daily rhythm of yoga practices can uplift you.

This retreat will feature chanting the Gayatri Mantra or another traditional chant and meditation plus Alignment-based Hatha Yoga every morning, and gentle, restorative yoga as well as guided relaxation or Yoga Nidra each evening.

“I would highly recommend a yoga retreat with Kelly. She has such a beautiful vibe and her yoga cues are exactly what you need to hear to help align your body. The morning mantra meditations were an amazing incredible way to start the day and the yoga nidra in the afternoons were a wonderful way to unwind. The community that we created together was life changing for me. And the excursions and adventures were so fun. As a solo traveler I was extremely grateful to have bonded with so many people so quickly. If you get the chance, definitely go on a retreat with Kelly!” – Tracy S

Travel Insurance

We cannot emphasize more the importance of travel insurance. As we all know, especially as travelers, “life happens.” Whether it’s family, work, mother nature, or a change of heart, it is important to be prepared in case you need to unexpectedly change your travel plans. Often for less than $150, you can purchase a travel insurance policy and be protected in the event that you need to make a change or need to be covered financially prior to or during your trip.

We have partnered with Trawick International (available for U.S. Residents only). Read more about their policies here. We encourage you to research the insurance company and policy that best meets your needs.
