Nature Island Wellness Retreat
Join Devon, ERYT-500, C-IAYT and founder of Day Yoga Studios, for a transformative week-long yoga and wellness retreat on the breathtaking island of Dominica — the Caribbean’s beloved “Nature Island.”
Known for its untouched beauty, dramatic volcanic peaks, emerald rainforests, hidden waterfalls, and more than 365 rivers, Dominica offers the perfect setting to unplug from the noise of everyday life and reconnect with yourself in nature’s embrace.
This retreat is thoughtfully designed to nourish your body, mind, and spirit through daily yoga, meditation, meaningful cultural connection, and immersive experiences in one of the most naturally beautiful places on earth.
Each day includes up to two yoga and meditation sessions, featuring energizing morning vinyasa or hatha practices and deeply restorative evening sessions, gentle movement, guided meditation, and sangha circles. Breathwork (pranayama) is woven throughout the experience to cultivate clarity, balance, and inner calm.
Beyond the mat, you’ll explore the wild beauty of Dominica through unforgettable adventures and intentional downtime. Enjoy nourishing meals, hike through lush rainforest landscapes, visit stunning natural wonders including the Caribbean’s longest hiking trail and the famous Boiling Lake, snorkel in crystal-clear waters, relax on the beach, and give yourself the space to rest, reflect, and reset.
Whether you are seeking renewal, adventure, community, or simply time to breathe deeply again, this retreat invites you to slow down, reconnect with nature, and come home to yourself.

Devon is an experienced yoga educator, studio owner, and yoga therapist with over two decades of dedication to holistic health, integrative healing, and mindful living. Her journey began in 2003 while studying at the Columbus College of Art and Design, where she discovered yoga through Hatha classes at the YMCA in downtown Columbus. With a background in art, she brings a creative and intuitive perspective to her work, blending visual awareness, expression, and a deep appreciation for the mind-body connection into the way she teaches and holds space. What began as a personal practice quickly evolved into a lifelong calling rooted in supporting both physical and emotional well-being.
She became a certified yoga teacher in 2010 through World Peace Yoga and completed her 300-hour Advanced Teacher Training at Yoga on High in 2016. In 2024, she completed her Yoga Therapy training through Kripalu. Devon is registered as an ERYT-500 with Yoga Alliance and as a C-IAYT with the International Association of Yoga Therapists. Her training also includes Ayurvedic Health Counseling through the Shakti School. As a yoga therapist, she offers individualized one-on-one sessions that support a wide range of physical, emotional, and mental health needs. Her work integrates breathwork, mindful movement, meditation, nervous system regulation, and Ayurvedic principles to create personalized, sustainable practices. She frequently works with clients navigating stress, anxiety, burnout, and life transitions, offering a trauma-informed, client-centered approach that emphasizes self-awareness, resilience, and healing, often incorporating creative visualization and intuitive exploration.

In 2011, Devon founded Day Yoga Studio in Dayton, Ohio, later expanding to Washington Township in 2024. She leads 200-, 300-, and 500-hour teacher training programs, teaches classes and workshops, and offers private sessions in yoga therapy and Ayurvedic counseling. She also directs Day Yoga Community Outreach, a nonprofit dedicated to bringing yoga to underserved populations throughout the Dayton area. She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling through Miami University, with an anticipated graduation date of May 2027, further deepening her ability to support clients through an integrative and compassionate lens. Above all, she is a mother of four and caregiver to four dogs, grounding her work in lived experience, connection, and care.

Travel Insurance
We cannot emphasize more the importance of travel insurance. As we all know, especially as travelers, “life happens.” Whether it’s family, work, mother nature, or a change of heart, it is important to be prepared in case you need to unexpectedly change your travel plans. Often for less than $150, you can purchase a travel insurance policy and be protected in the event that you need to make a change or need to be covered financially prior to or during your trip.
We have partnered with Trawick International (available for U.S. Residents only). Read more about their policies here. We encourage you to research the insurance company and policy that best meets your needs.
